Compendium of Curiosities II - Week 3

Hello Bloggers/Friends!!

The lovely Linda Ledbetter over at Studio L3 has set us a new challenge from Lord Tim of Holtz book, A Compendium of Curiosities Vol II.  The challenge should you choose to accept it, can be found on page 46 and the technique is Marbled Stains.  Sorry I can't divulge the technique for you, as it would be very unfair to Tim!!   I have to be honest it wasn't the easiest one I've done, and I'm not entirely sure it's exactly right........but hey ho, I have made a tag following said instructions & had fun doing it!!!  I can't ask for much more than that, can I????

Just For Fun Challenge Week 2 - Time Flies

I recently discovered this fab new challenge blog set up by an old friend of mine Sam......... Just For Fun it's week 2 and there's a continuing theme from the first week which was Time, this week it's Time Flies and below is my entry.


I decided to make a tag as it's been quite awhile since I made one just for fun. I used my distress inks to build up a few layers of colour, then using the freebie stamp from the February issue of Craft Stamper magazine I stamped the image a few times using versamark then I clear embossed it & buffed over it with adirondack ink. I stamped the clock & wings onto glossy card & coloured over it with antique linen DI , added some TH tissue tape & raffia and my tag is complete!! I hope you like it - please letme know what you think!!

Birthday Card

This is a little Birthday card I made for a friend who's favourite colour is black!! I used Hot Off The Press papers, made up a little glassine envelope & stamped Happy Birthday & corner stamps to embellish the envelope. I made a little tag in coordinating black & red to fit inside the mini envelope, then embellished the lattice design with some glitter just to liven it up a bit!! I hope she likes it :-0)).
