Pick Up A Penquin!!

Another Christmas card peeps!! Aren't these little guys gorgeous? They're from Wendie Rhodes collection & I love them.......once again I've followed the brief as set by Jennie & created my own background, I used white card & really soaked it with cosmic shimmer & twinkling H2O's then covered with cling film, swished it about to capture the wet bits & left to dry. My penguins were stamped with black stazon on onto pearl card, then cut out. When my pink background had completely dried I ripped all around the edges, matted it onto black card, then onto my white card & finally placed my little penguins on with 3d foam.........I think I might just finish it off by edging the white card with pink ink & add a greeting. What do you think??

Christmas is on it's Way!!

Below is another Christmas card - I'm on a roll now I think!! This is a really cute polar bear I think and I stamped him onto a white hammer textured card with a blue ink, then used my koi water brush to shade him and create a water coloured effect, next I heated with my heat gun.
When fully dried, I quickly painted on some moonglow powders mixed with water & the put some salt rocks on & left it to dry - this created a mottled effect which I just love!! I edged the card with a silver krylon pen, matted onto white card & some little silver stars for effect!
I am entering this into Jennies competition too, as the only stipulation was you could make anything - No Papers Allowed............Hopefully you'll think I've achieved the desired results!!
Thanks for looking, all comments appreciated!!

My First Christmas Card

This is the outside of a gatefold card, the base of the card is a light blue card, then I added a navy panel on each side of the opening - the background was made by spritzing moonglow/starburst powder onto the card, then the top shaped layer was brayed using the big & juicy inkpad - Happy Birthday. Next I used versamark to stamp the Bethlehem image & covered with black sparkle embossing powder & heated with the heat gun. Above is the inside of the card, using the same techniques. Please click for a clearer view. Thanks for looking & please leave me a comment too, if you wish!! Wish me luck as I'm entering this card into a competition hosted by Jennie, on a forum I'm a member of, Jennie is offering Tim Holtz goodies as a prize - yes please!!!
