Red is the colour.........

As far back as I can remember the colour red has been a favourite of mine, I love the warmth it radiates & I always feel good when I wear it too. As for flowers, I adore poppies.........so what better combination of my two favourites is this ickle poppy card I made.

I used a stamp set from a qvc kit my mum bought me, it was a cute mock crock handbag containing a whole host of stamps & a cd rom of backing papers.........however for this card I decided to use the poppy flower head as my backing & stamped it several times with Brilliance Rocket Red ink, I also stamped a few more poppy heads & mounted them to create a decoupage effect & inked around the focal image with colourbox chalk inks. The poppies were coloured using my promarkers.

To finish the card off I used a red matt & stamped "with love" and there you have it!!!
Hope you like my card & return for again to see what goodies I've been playing with - Thanks for visiting. Love 'n' Hugs

Bithday Card for a friend

This is a card I made for a friend who's really interested in Egypt, it's history & culture. The main image I mounted onto white card stock, which I then inked up with colourbox red chalk ink, then edged it with gold and mounted onto navy card stock. Along the edge of the card I added some red hieroglphic style ribbons & a gold Happy Birthday peel off to finish it off.
Thanks for looking - all comments appreciated!!
