Red is the colour.........

As far back as I can remember the colour red has been a favourite of mine, I love the warmth it radiates & I always feel good when I wear it too. As for flowers, I adore poppies.........so what better combination of my two favourites is this ickle poppy card I made.

I used a stamp set from a qvc kit my mum bought me, it was a cute mock crock handbag containing a whole host of stamps & a cd rom of backing papers.........however for this card I decided to use the poppy flower head as my backing & stamped it several times with Brilliance Rocket Red ink, I also stamped a few more poppy heads & mounted them to create a decoupage effect & inked around the focal image with colourbox chalk inks. The poppies were coloured using my promarkers.

To finish the card off I used a red matt & stamped "with love" and there you have it!!!
Hope you like my card & return for again to see what goodies I've been playing with - Thanks for visiting. Love 'n' Hugs

One Stamp - 3 Cards & yet more Thankyou's

I'm still working away with my thank you cards, so please be patient with me, I will get around to you eventually!! Here are a few more cards I made this morning. I just love this stamp & bought it a few months back on the way home from a visit to see Darren, popped into Millers Art Store in town & just had to have it - Hope you like what I made of it :D

This stamp is from the Nostalgia range by John Byass for Papermania - I adore the image, reminds me of me as a wee girl out playing in the rain, duffle coat & wellies!! Once again I used My Minds eye papers, Promarkers to colour & Distress Inks to shade. The flowers are from my stash..........Other two cards to follow -

Hope you like my cards & please leave a comment - good or bad, love to know what you think!!
Thanks for stopping by :D xx

Thank You

I'd like to thanks all my family, friends & cyber friends for all your good wishes, prayers, flowers & cards which has helped me come through a very difficult period of my life. Sadly Darren passed away on the 5th of August, I miss him soooo much and especially as this month we were looking forward to celebrating his 30th Birthday, sadly now not to be.

Well I need to thank lots of people, so I've made a start with my cards. Hope you like this one for a very special friend. The stamp I used is from do-crafts Whispers range & the papers are by My Minds eye, I also used my promarkers, nesties and of course Distress Inks - please let me know what you think!! Thanks for dropping by :D xx
