One World One Heart 2010 - This will stay at the top until closing date of 15th Feb 2010.......Scroll dow the page for newer posts :D

Welcome to OWOH Magical Carpet ride and giveaway!!! What is OWOH you ask?? Well it's the creation of a lovely lady named Lisa who created this event in 2007 with the aim of bringing crafty bloggers from around the world together, each year the event has grown & many people who wouldn't normally meet have formed friendships, gained inspiration & had lots of fun on their journey. This is the first time I've joined in and I'm looking forward to meeting lot's of people on my Magical Carpet ride.
So how do YOU join in?? Simples!! Just leave me a comment to be entered into the draw to win this little canvas - which by the way, is my first attempt at stamping onto a canvas, so please be kind to me :D. Closing date for entrants is February 15th when a winner will be selected randomly.
Good Luck and happy blog hopping - hope to see you on the journey!!!

Baby Girl Card

This is a cute new baby girl card for a friend to give to her sister, she wanted something a bit different from the normal shop bought card, so I raided my stash and 'discovered' some 3d decoupage sheets with a difference - ideal!!

I have no idea where I bought these sheets from as they've been lovingly stored away for the appropriate occasion, if your a crafter I'm sure you know just what I mean :D
I backed the actual 3d sheet onto card to ensure it would stand up properly & then cut & assembled them appropriately. When I first started crafting I was obsessed with decoupage, but now thanks to some great friends - see my sidebar for their blogs, I adore stamping & all things inky!! So it was quite nice to go back & do some decoupage again.

I hope you like this ickle card & leave some comments for me, as I do love to know what you think of my crafty dabblings!!

Shopping Reminders for Paper Dolls

I belong to a group of ladies who love to craft and swap items, ideas & everything else in between regarding crafting!! Each month there are various challenges & swaps, and the first one of this year was set by Chrissie & it was to produce a Shopping Reminder with a snow theme. Here are my two entries. The long skinny one has a magnetic strip on the back witch means you can attach it to your fridge or similar surface in your kitchen. Bothe were simply made using my cuttlebug folders, some ribbon & stamping up! punches, dew drop ink pads to colour. I hope you like them. All comments appreciated too!!

Coaster Halloween Book

Halloween Is Coming..........................

A friend asked me to make an Autumn Thanksgiving/Harvest card to send to her family in America.

I used an image from the web & decoupaged it onto some lovely bazzil bling black card stock, then layered on some lovely autumn leaves paper onto orange bazzil bling, added some gems & personalised insert on gorgeous Stampin Up designer paper (forgot to take piccy!!)

My friend was very happy with the card & I hope her family will be too!! I also made an added little Halloween book which I made from pub coasters, which I covered with papers from various craft cds - Joanna Sheen & Crafters Companions. I decoupaged some of the images, used distress inks to edge & age the pages of the book, then attached all the coasters together with a book ring & decorated with some ribbon, gems & a bit of sparkle by using sakura stardust pens.

See the above post for the coaster book - blogger won't let me post here!!! lol
Thanks for dropping by, Hugs

The Sunday Stampers -Theme Blue..........No 2

I haven't taken part in The Sunday Stamper for ages, and just like the buses, before you know it, two come along together - he he!!! Welcome to Number 2.......now I know this card looks predominately pink, but her dress & boots are blue and we also have a lovely blue lace efffect, which I created using my new Martha Stewart border punch - isn't it gorgeous?? This is another Pink Gem image - which I just love at the moment and I used a couple of water colour pencils & copics to colour this image.........I'm still only learning with the copics!! I didn't add a sentiment, as I'm not sure what I'll use this card for at the moment.

Thanks for visiting - all comments appreciated.

The Sunday Stampers -Theme Blue

This week's theme for the Sunday Stamper's is Blue - so this is my effort and it's very blue!!
The stamped image is from Pink Gems range of very cute cards & the sentiment stamp is from Stampin up!. I've used Bazzill card stock and coloured my ickle chappie with my new copics - which I have to say are scrummy but as you can see I've not quite mastered them yet!!
Lot's of practice need methinks. Thanks for visiting, all comments welcome - good or bad,and any tips for copics greatly appreciated!!

Lots To Do Challenge - Free Theme

This is an Iris Folding card I made as a Thank you for a friend. I made a 'first attempt' just last week at a card class in South Shields, when I visited a forum friend for the first time., that card was the reverse of this one as it was a white dog on the black background - I prefer this, as I used sparkly black papers.

I'm quite pleased with my attempts and my friend was delighted with the card, as she'd never seen one like it before!!

Thanks for visiting & I look forward to reading your comments too.

Sympathy Card

This is a Sympathy Card I made using Joanna Sheens Heavenly Cards CD, Bazzil card stock, and a simple white insert. It's my first attempt at this type of card. I printed out the single large image, matted it onto lilac pearlescent card stock, then printed off a coordinating backing paper & covered the bottom corner of the card with this.
A simple & subtle card I think, appropriate for this very sad occassion.
Thank you for looking (click on image for clearer view)

Bind It All Book number 2

This book was made using the Huge Funky Word Book cd and the book spells out DJHD, which stands for DJ - Howard Donald (from Take That).
I made this book for my friend Yvonnes Birthday, she's as mad about Howard as I am about Jason :-)), and it was also a souvenir of her visit to Glasgow where we met up with a few of other TT fans who had travelled up from England to see Howard DJ at Byblos club in Glasgow. As you can see I got a bit more adventurous with my embellies and added in some more detail inside too. As well as adding in some piccies, I outlined all the letters with a gold krylon pen to add a bit more definition to the letters, some little charms etc and I know Yvonne was delighted with it - job done!! You can see from the photo on the left
we got right up front & got some pretty good piccies of Howard mixing the disc & causing a stir
on the dance floor :-))
The piccy below is of all us mad "Thatters" having a drink in the pub before going to the club.........a bit of 'dutch courage' in my case, as it's years since I last went clubbing - ha ha!!!!

Thanks for looking & please click on the images for a better view.

Bind It All Book

This is a book a made some time ago for my mum, it was really my first attempt with my BIA and I used the Funky Daze cd for the lettering & papers. Inside I made a little poem about how I feel for my mum & added some piccies of myself, Jamie and my mum & dad together. She was really delighted with it and since then I've made a few more with added details................and I just love my BIA - took me long enough to get around to using it.
